| After two sold-out showings at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and a near sell-out at the American Indian Film Festival - San Francisco, Sitting Bull: A Stone in My Heart screened at the Tiburon International Film Festival to, again, a sold out showing. The film then went on to the Ojai Film Festival to, once more, a sold-out crowd, and at the Big Water Film Festival in Wisconsin is won the Best Documentary Award. It went on to win two other award at the Fargo Film Festival (second place for Best Documentary Feature and for Native American Voice).
At the Tiburon International Film Festival, Just before the film's scheduled time Adam Fortunate Eagle who performs the voice of Sitting Bull regaled the people in line to see the film with a native American Ceremonial Blessing to a grateful crowd. He blessed Saeed Shafa, the founder of the Tiburon film festival, the film's director, John Ferry, co-producer and co-writer Grace De Soto Ferry, among others. |

SITTING: BULL: A Stone in My Heart won the BEST DOCUMENTARY award at the Big Water Film Festival in Washburn, WI (Sept. 19-21, 2008). It's our 6th film festival. It continues to show on selected PBS stations in the US, and is currently showing on national public television in Austalia. Recently it had a one-month run at the Royal Ontario Museum - the fith largest museum in North America and also screened at the Utah Museum of Fine Art
